Made with love: Why Portugal?

One of our biggest missions at Amurelle is to produce our products as thoughtfully as possible including where they are made. We wanted to stay close to home in order to reduce air miles and be kinder to our environment. So we began our mission by travelling around Europe to find a producer that we felt was in line with our company values and able to create the best quality bed sheets possible for Amurelle customers.

The search eventually led us to Northern Portugal whose textile business is built on a legacy which dates back to the late 1700s. Produced by fourth generation makers, each Amurelle item is carefully crafted using the most advanced textile technology and carefully selected raw materials. The finest cotton and French flax linen is expertly woven to create each item which in turn helps you to sleep soundly.

We first met our suppliers back in February and we instantly knew these were the perfect partners to bring our dream of expertly made, amazing quality bedding that's fairly priced to you, the Amurelle customer. We also enjoyed an infamous port while we were there which helped to seal the deal!

How is Amurelle bedding made?

At Amurelle we choose to focus on three factors - the quality of the materials used, how & where our items are produced and creating the best sleep experience for our customers by only offering the highest calibre of textiles possible. So from the moment our crop is picked and turned into yarn to when it is woven and packaged, every little detail is looked after with the utmost expertise and care to create our select range of bedding.

In addition to producing excellent quality bedding, it was important to us that all Amurelle items are made safely. All our items are therefore Oeko-tex certified which guarantees your bedding is made with respect for the environment & are entirely free of harmful chemicals so that you won't loose sleep over how your bedding has been made.
